The fashion design program is a final program designed to teach the skills that potential employers in the design industry want to see, including a strong foundation of design, illustration, computer, and presentation abilities. Hands-on-experience in pattern making, clothing construction, draping, and specialty design, as well as storyboard creation and visual presentation skills from illustration and computer techniques, can be gained by the students.

Computer graphics is an important part of the education because it provides a competitive edge. Computers are used for a large portion; illustrating fashions, designing textiles, flats and specifications, graphic layouts, and spreadsheets.

Students who have earned a degree in fashion design can get the following entry-level jobs: illustrator, assistant designer, technical designer, stylist, CAD or CAM operator, and much more.
